CLIENT: AEG EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT NETWORK GROUP, SOMOS

AEG's Employee Engagement Network Group, SOMOS, approached me to design their logo for Hispanic Heritage Month, was featured in all materials throughout the months of September to October. They expressed the desire for a logo and branding that is inclusive of all Latin cultures while possessing a timeless quality, ensuring its suitability for use in the years to come.
Logo & Branding
The SOMOS Hispanic Heritage Month logo has been meticulously designed to encapsulate the rich cultural diversity within the Hispanic community. Employing a fun and dynamic typography, the logo has been crafted with the intent of cultivating a distinctive brand identity throughout the designated month of celebration.
Alternate Logos
The alternate logos are to be used only on collateral materials. They are to help enhance design materials for when brand layouts feature multiple color options.

Typography & Color
To enhance the brand identity, I curated a selection of three typefaces and developed a comprehensive color palette intended for consistent use across all creative materials.

Illustrations & Patterns
I was inspired by many designs across Latin countries that included very floral strokes and beautiful sunsets. As a result, I designed two key illustrations: a simple sunrise design and a flowing flower motif. These elements can be combined to create a beautiful floral pattern. The curvy flower adds a sense of movement to our materials, often seen on traditional walls in Hispanic countries worldwide.

2023 Hispanic Heritage Month Zine
In the production of the 2023 issue, I applied the branding I crafted for Hispanic Heritage Month. Given the mix of lengthy and concise articles, I strategically designed layouts, incorporating images and call-outs as per the authors' specifications. Addressing instances where authors omitted images, I sourced and edited high-quality visuals to ensure an editorial refinement throughout the magazine.
