Selena Quintanilla was a female tejano music artist who began signing at a young age. Unfortunately, she was murdered at the age of 23, however, her music has become a staple within the music industry and has influenced many of today’s artists, including Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, and Kacey Musgraves (just to name a few).
Selena’s music revolved around love and lust, but also women empowerment. After 25 years, since Selena’s death, her music continues to inspire and influence a range of music genres from pop to country, which makes her timeless and relatable.
